\n Job Description:
\n Performs routine radiographic, fluoroscopic and portable examinations in the diagnostic department of Radiology, on nursing units, outpatient areas and the surgery department.

\n Job Responsibilities:
\n -Takes radiographs per physician orders.
\n -Must be versatile within the diagnostic department of Radiology.
\n -Protects all patients and employees from unnecessary radiation.
\n -Has knowledge of the front desk operations as well as the computer systems and reports all equipment problems to manager and Clinical Engineers.
\n -Can schedule all exams done through the whole department-alerting a supervisor when necessary.
\n -Can use the centralize transport program for patient transportation.
\n -Can look up pertinent information in the computer systems concerning patient exams, ordering, reprinting or canceling when necessary.
\n -Able to interact professionally with other departments.
\n -Can effectively call in needed on call imaging associates as required.
\n -All equipment problems are called to the clinical engineering 24 hour phone number. Messages are communicated to co-workers, written or verbal.
\n -Managers are alerted to all equipment problems (paging during periods of on call) if necessary.
\n -Remains available for assignment as needed.
\n -Assisting the Radiologic Technologist Students.
\n -Performs operationally required duties associated with equipment quality assurance, regulatory compliance (ODH, Joint Commission), ordering of supplies, scheduling of staff and hospital and departmental audits.
\n -Access to patient records in course of normal operations to conduct the business of medical imaging is a responsibility of all designated personnel.

\n Required Skills & Experience:
\n -Knowledge of medical terminology, isolation and sterile techniques/procedures.
\n -Patient positioning and equipment operation (x-ray machines and printers).
\n

Required Education:
\n -Graduation from ARRT accredited Radiologic Technology school.

\n

Preferred Education:
\n -N/A

\n

Required Certifications & Licensure:
\n -ARRT
\n -Valid Ohio Radiologic License.
\n -BLS (American Heart Assoc.)
