About the Role

Our team is looking for an All Star clean-up hitter. As a Lead Service Technician, you’ll be the face of American Services in the field—serving restaurants, senior living, food retailers, and cold storage facilities across the St. Louis region. You’ll troubleshoot, diagnose, repair refrigeration, cooking equipment and HVAC systems, delivering high-quality service that keeps our customers running 24/7.

Key Responsibilities                                                                           

Perform skilled diagnostic, repair, and maintenance work on refrigeration, HVAC, and food service equipment

• Deliver prompt, courteous service to a diverse commercial customer base
• Complete work orders, document services, and communicate job status in real time using mobile technology
• Collaborate with the field manager and dispatch team for efficient routing and scheduling
• Maintain clean, organized tools, inventory, and service vehicle
• Support and mentor junior technicians as needed (we invest in training and team culture)

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in commercial refrigeration, HVAC, or related field
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• EPA certification (Type I & II or Universal preferred)
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• A self-starter who takes pride in doing the job right the first time

• 21+ years or older
• Valid driver's license
• Able to comfortably lift 70 lbs
• Available to work: on call
