Code Enforcement Officer / Fire Inspector

Under the direction of the Director of Code Enforcement / Fire Marshal, the Code Enforcement Officer / Fire Inspector is responsible for assisting in the administration and enforcement of the Cheltenham Township Code, International Property Maintenance Code and International Fire Code in the Township relating to protection of life and property. The position requires a professional level of code knowledge, personal accountability, good time management, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will have Commercial Building Inspector certification and/or Certified Fire and Explosive Investor Certification or the ability to achieve them.
