Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $24–$28 per hour
- Starting Bonus: No signing bonus offered
- Relocation Assistance: Case-by-case basis
- Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Job Summary
As a Diesel Engine Builder entering aviation, you’ll put your technical expertise to work on piston aircraft engines. This position demands accuracy, pride in craftsmanship, and the ability to build and test engines that must meet uncompromising performance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble, repair, and test engine subcomponents to manufacturer specifications
- Interpret and apply Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, and overhaul manuals
- Inspect and verify all parts before installation
- Review and confirm vendor repair documentation
- Perform precision measurements using micrometers, bore gauges, and related tools
- Conduct inspections during assembly for compliance and quality
- Test performance using approved shop procedures and equipment
- Diagnose and resolve issues during testing
- Maintain complete build records
- Support the Shop Foreman and General Manager as needed
Minimum Requirements
- 4+ years of aircraft engine build/maintenance experience
- Consideration given to skilled diesel or motorcycle mechanics with precision engine assembly experience
- Strong knowledge of reciprocating aircraft engine function and theory
- Proficiency with micrometers, bore gauges, and other precision tools
- Strong math skills and attention to detail
- Ownership of basic hand tools
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license
- Demonstrated pride in workmanship and commitment to quality
