Baker (Bagels) / Short Order Cook / Counter Person

We are looking for a dependable and motivated team member to join our bagel shop as a Bagel Baker / Short Order Cook / Counter Person. This is a versatile role that combines food preparation, cooking, and customer service. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, has patience under pressure, and can balance both front-of-house and kitchen responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Bake, prepare, and handle bagels and other bakery items.

• Cook short-order breakfast meals, including eggs, omelets, bacon, and breakfast sandwiches.

• Assemble and prepare made-to-order sandwiches, bagels, and other menu items.

• Greet customers, take orders, and operate the cash register with accuracy.

• Provide excellent customer service with a friendly and patient attitude.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment.

• Assist with stocking, prepping ingredients, and other kitchen duties as needed.

• Work as part of a team to ensure smooth daily operations.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in baking, short-order cooking, or food service preferred (training available for the right person).

• Strong multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.

• Friendly, professional, and customer-focused.

• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs.

• Flexible availability, including early mornings and weekends.
