A Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) opportunity is available for the 20252026 school year in Port Townsend, WA, serving an elementary school setting. This contract position offers the chance to support students communication development by working closely with certified Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) in a dynamic educational environment.Responsibilities include:Implementing individualized therapy programs as directed by supervising SLPs Assisting with student assessments and monitoring progress Preparing therapy materials and maintaining detailed documentation Supporting the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Collaborating with school staff, families, and therapists to promote student success Transporting students between classrooms and therapy sessions when needed Qualifications and desired experience:Valid Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) license in Washington State Bachelors degree in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences or Communication Disorders Experience working in school settings or with children preferred Strong interpersonal communication skills, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous learning Familiarity with articulation and language therapy techniques is advantageous Location: Port Townsend, Washington serving an elementary school.This role offers a Monday through Friday schedule for the duration of the 2025-2026 academic year.
