Travel Rad Tech - 8hr Days St. Luke's Hospital

·         Pay Rate: Rate may vary due to local or non-local contracted rates: $55-61 combined Rate of pay. (Pay packages are a combination of taxable hourly rates, tax free allowances for travel, housing, and meal allowances)

RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLGIST/RAD TECH

·         Prepare patients

Take a patient's medical history, explain the procedure, and position the patient and equipment to take the image 

·         Operate equipment

Use computerized and manual equipment to take images, such as X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, fluoroscopy, or sonography 

·         Evaluate images

Review the images to ensure they are clear enough for a doctor to diagnose 

·         Document patient care

Record patient medical histories, enter patient data into computers, and maintain patient records 

·         Communicate with patients and doctors

Explain procedures and test results to patients, and inform doctors of patient conditions 

·         Protect patients and staff

Minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff, and follow infection control policies 

·         Assist with other tasks

Help with administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and restocking supplies
