Job Description
LHH is actively seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Banking Operations Contractor to join one of our top client’s Banking Operations team! his role plays a key part in supporting small business customers using our suite of financial products—including loans, credit lines, and other banking services. Key ResponsibilitiesRespond to seller inquiries via email and internal messaging tools using CRM systems.
Review daily case queues, following standard operating procedures to assess and process documentation.
Triage customer needs effectively, understanding risk and escalation paths.
Answer questions related to banking documentation, loan applications, and account status.
Meet or exceed service-level agreements to minimize revenue risk and maintain service excellence.
Identify and document recurring issues, product bugs, and potential improvements.
Advocate for sellers by surfacing trends and contributing to product or policy enhancements.
Stay up to date on BSA/AML regulations and perform related responsibilities as needed.
Collaborate in a remote-first environment through video conferencing and internal chat tools.
Suggest updates and improvements to internal content, knowledge bases, and customer-facing resources.
Develop a foundational understanding of our Banking Underwriting process.
1+ years of experience in a financial institution, fintech company, payments provider, or similar customer-facing environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
High attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset.
Comfortable working in a fast-moving, dynamic environment.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and collaborate across multiple teams.
Passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
Familiarity with tools like Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Slack, and CRM systems.
Eagerness to receive feedback and continuously improve your skills.
Experience in banking, risk operations, or application/documentation review.
Knowledge of or exposure to BSA/AML compliance responsibilities.
Experience working in a remote or hybrid team setting.
Location Requirement:
This position is based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Candidates must live within 50 miles of the Oakland office (Broadway Ave, Oakland, CA), as occasional on-site presence may be required.
Pay Details: $22.00 to $24.50 per hour
