Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an experienced travel RN for a MS/Tele position requiring at least one prior completed travel assignment and a minimum of 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience.

Details\n

• Work in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit serving as an overflow, post-surgical, and observation unit
\n
• Patient ratio of 1:6-7
\n
• Unit is transitioning to a team nursing model with LPNs being added to support RNs
\n
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
\n
• Weekend rotation required as needed
\n
• On-call required as needed
\n
• Floating between like units and campuses within 20 miles may occur, though cross-campus floating is rare
\n
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
\n
• 13-week contract
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Active RN license in Tennessee or a valid Compact (NLC) license currently in hand — no pending licensure accepted
\n
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience required (3+ years preferred)
\n
• At least one completed prior travel assignment required — first-time travelers are not eligible
\n
• Driver's License required for consideration
\n
• ADN or higher education accepted for this position
\n

Additional Information\n

\n
• Candidates must live more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
\n
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of initial consideration; RTO requests made after an offer is extended will not be forwarded for approval
\n
• If Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's all fall within the assignment, the traveler must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 holidays; if only 2 fall within the assignment, at least 1 must be covered
\n
• Former permanent employees or internal associate travelers must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible to return as a traveler
\n
