Job Title: Kitchen & Bath Design Specialist - Residential Construction Remodeler
Location: Charlotte, NC

Position Summary
We are seeking a talented Kitchen & Bath Design Specialist with proven experience using Chief Architect to support our residential remodeling projects from concept to permit-ready plans. This role requires someone who understands residential construction, is an efficient draftsperson, and can produce accurate, buildable drawings that align with both client vision and code requirements.
Kitchen & Bath Design Specialist Responsibilities
- Create conceptual and detailed drawings, using Chief Architect. This may include Kitchens and Baths, whole home remodels, and anywhere in between.
- Conduct site measurements and translate as-built conditions into accurate drawings
- Meet with clients and collaborate with project managers and tradespeople to implement designs.
- Cabinetry specifying and ordering required – experience preferred
- Stay current with residential design trends, materials, and regulations
- Follow and improve on established systems and processes
- Strong planning and organizational skills
Kitchen & Bath Design Specialist Qualifications
- 2+ years experience in residential architectural design and/or Kitchen and Bath design. Skilled space-planner.
- Proficiency in Chief Architect, including realistic renderings
- Experience in the remodeling industry; Understanding of residential construction methods, codes, and detailing is preferred
- Full understanding of cabinetry specifying and ordering
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Degree in Architectural Drafting, Design, or related field preferred but not required
Tools and Software:
- Project Management Software: Will use software such as Buildertrend, or similar for selection approval, scheduling, and communication.
- Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, and Outlook for daily documentation, communication, and reporting.
Job Expectations:
- Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years in residential design / construction.
- Schedule: Part-time (Full-time position is also available.)
- Travel: Frequent travel to project sites in and around the Charlotte area.
Kitchen & Bath Design Specialist Compensation:
- $28-$48/hour, depending on experience and skillset (Full-Time position is salaried)
