Cardiac Anesthesiologist | Mason City, IA - Now Hiring

• Specialty: Cardiac Anesthesiologist 
• Practice Setting: OR/Surgery Department. Level 2 trauma center.
• Dates/Coverage: 
  • Sept 1 to Sept 5
  • November 24 week
  • Dec 22 to Jan 2
• Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday are from 6:30 am - 3 pm. Tuesday/Thursdays are from 7 am - 3:30 pm - will stay later if help is needed in non-cardiac cases or the cardiac case is not finished. No nights, no weekends, no holidays, and no call.
• Case Mix: The hospital is a Level 2-Level 3 Trauma Center. The facility does heart and spine surgeries, general surgery, occasional head surgery, OB, etc. 
• Avg # surgeries per day: Cardiac surgeries 1/day, but not every day; 5-7 general cases/day. Must help cover general if no cardiac cases. 
• # of ORs: 8 used at one time
• Support Staff/Supervision: 6 Anesthesiologists in the practice
• Patient Demographic: Adolescent, Child, Adult, Geriatric.
• Credentialing Time-Frame: 8-12 weeks 
• Active IA License: Required or IMLC
• BC/BE: BC in cardiac anesthesiology highly preferred, will also consider BE. TEE certification required (must be able to read, interpret, and bill TEE procedures - not just the placement of the probe)
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS + DEA, and CSR
• COVID-19 Vaccination: Yes
• Flights/Lodging/Rental or Mileage: Yes
