TeleSolv Consulting has a great opportunity for you to work with the Federal Government as a Property Management Specialist I enabling you to have a Tier 1 Public Trust.
This is an ONSITE position based in Portsmouth, VA.
Duties / Responsibilities
The Property Management Specialist I will be responsible for supporting the tasks below:
- Review Requisition and Invoice/Shipping Documents and send disposal items to Property Management Specialist II.
- Use the website to produce an Electronic Turn-in Document for item disposal and send it to the Property Management Specialist II.
- Accompany the excess equipment to local DLA sites utilizing government-owned vehicles.
- Send an updated inventory list to Property Management Specialist II for verification.
- Initiate transfer and receipt of property items being transferred from or to C5ISC.
- Notify Property Management Specialist II of the custodian who does not return a signed and dated Property Report within 10 business days.
- Retire items, using asset serial numbers and FSMS tag numbers.
- Provide completed Property Action Forms to Property Management Specialist II.
- Review count sheets. Reconcile items to stock records.
- Research and reconcile discrepancies.
- Generate the physical inventory report and send it to Property Management Specialist II.
- Schedule inventories for custodians that have property in FSMS.
- Track the completed inventories and report monthly to Property Management Specialist II.
- Schedule monthly component-level inventory and report errors to Property Management Specialist II.
- Conduct monthly spot checks on FLS inventories and report all inventory discrepancies to Property Management Specialist II.
- Submit Property Action Form packages to Property Management Specialist II.
- Assist with verifying the accuracy of Report of Excess Property forms.
- Assist with maintaining and organizing the DLA staging area located in the excess storage facility.
- Submit a weekly report to Property Management Specialist II, to include all tasks completed during the week.
- Submit a monthly report to Property Management Specialist II, to include all tasks completed during the month.
Minimum Requirements
- U.S. Citizen
- Active Public Trust clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain one
- High School Diploma or associate’s degree is required
- Must have a valid driver’s license and pass Motor Vehicle check in background screen
- Three (3) years of proficiency in MS applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Ability to conduct detailed research and analysis of data
- Ability to frequently lift and carry equipment weighing up to 10 pounds
- Ability to periodically push and pull carts or pallets weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to periodically stand and bend for extended periods
Preferred Requirements
- Three (3) years of property administration and IT inventory management experience
Background Investigation:
This position requires that you obtain a Public Trust Tier 4a/BI (Background Investigation) Suitability Assessment from our client. As part of this process, the government will perform a criminal, credit, tax, employment, and drug history background check. The government has varying tolerances, with mitigating circumstances, for issues in all of the categories. The government is essentially looking to confirm that you are generally in good financial standing, up to date on your tax filings, rehire eligible with your prior employers, and have adhered to any federal restrictions on illegal drug use, including marijuana, in addition to other checks related on your character and trust worthiness.
