Role: Product Designer (UI/UX/Hardware)
Duration: 6 Months + Extensions
Location: Basking Ridge, NJ or NYC (10007) (2x a week onsite)
Required Skills & Experience
- 4+ years of experience as a Product Designer in enterprise environments
- Hands on with industrial design or UI/UX design for consumer products
- Strong documentation with full UX design process; user research, usability testing, flow charts, prototypes, wireframing, mockups, sketches, product briefings, product launch
- Hands on with Figma
- Advanced with design thinking, working in a design system, and design problem solving
- Experience with web and mobile application design -- IOS/Android/Web UI Systems
- Strong communication skills to work with stakeholders, present phases of design life cycle and design ideas/solutions
- Portfolio that shows recent design work and full design process
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- HCI - human computer interaction or HMI - human machine interaction
- Arduino or CAD/CAM for physical prototyping
- C++, HTML, CSS or Javascript
- Ability to translate complex technical requirements into consumer experiences
Job Descriptio
Insight Global is looking for a Product Designer to support end to end UI/UX/ID design for consumer facing products. Candidates will be joining a team that does end to end product design for screens embedded into physical products. He or she will be responsible for building and delivering a customer experience solution that aligns with screens interacting with hardware and create detailed and comprehensive system documentation to be utilized for development. It is extremely important that candidates have had experience with end to end design and understand the full design lifecycle of a physical product that is interactive for consumers. Understanding how to connect applications both web and mobile to a hardware product is also a need for this role. Candidates will support project initiatives by having a strong documentation process for all steps of the UX design life cycle and be able to collaborate with industrial design, agency and testing teams. Candidates should be comfortable presenting decks to tell the design story and communicating with stakeholders. Candidates should come from an enterprise background and have a professional portfolio that shares modern designs and their full design thinking processes.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
