Controls Engineer

Direct Hire Controls Engineer with expertise in PLC programming, electrical schematics, and control systems development for automated equipment.

Location- Gonzalez, TX Area (- 1st Shift)

Need a strong Controls Engineer with Delta V and Allen Bradley experience.

Need someone who will design, develop, and maintain the plant’s control systems.

They will work mainly with Distributed Control Systems (Emerson DeltaV), Allen-Bradley PLC programming, SCADA, and Advanced Process Control (APC).

Key Capabilities:

• Distributed Control Systems (DCS/Emerson DeltaV)
• PLC Programming– Allen Bradley
• SCADA and APC using DeltaV

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, Control or Automation Engineering is preferred
• 5+ years industrial experience
• Knowledge of process instrumentation and industrial control systems including PLC programming, DCS, Panel view HMI screens, SCADA Application programming
• In-depth knowledge and strong experience of motor controls, HMIs and VFDs
• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze and resolve issues in a timely manner
• Ability to read P&IDs and electrical schematics

Job Description:

• Designing and developing new control systems
• Testing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and modifying existing systems
• Providing technical guidance for Engineers, Technicians, and Operators
• Project management within cost and time constrained environments
• Recommending reliability improvements
• Specifying and purchasing equipment
• Assisting in the development and maintenance of Process Control Narratives
• Developing and maintaining a 5-year rolling plan to upgrade and maintain process control equipment
• Developing and programming process control logic in DCS, PLC, VFDs, and SCADA systems

Pluses

• Knowledge of networking topologies, vLAN, TCP/IP, network switches, firewalls, routers, fiber
• Understanding of industrial communication protocols a plus ( EthernetIP, ModbusTCP/IP, HART, OPC)
• Understanding of Windows Hyper-V Virtual environment, Emerson Virtualization, Thin Clients a plus
• SAP exp
