RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) on K7 floor of K Tower
• 44-bed unit with patient ratios of 4:1 at grid, 5:1 when stretched
• Every other weekend requirement
• Float to stepdown units and med-surg units as needed
• Work with IV pumps, Skylift, PCA pump, chest tubes, trachs, and patient lifts
• Use Cerner EMR system
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Must have neuro and trauma care experience
• Perform neuro and spinal checks, C-collar placement, TLSO braces
• Handle chest tubes, PCA pumps, IV infusions, lumbar drains
• Assist with feeding tube placement and blood transfusions
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Team player with patient-focused approach essential
• Day shift grid includes 2 CNC/Charge nurses, 11 RNs, 4 CNAs, 1 HUC
• Night shift grid includes 2 CNC/Charge nurses, 11 RNs, 4 CNAs, 1 HUC
