Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Inventory Clerk that will be responsible for the purchasing and receiving activities related to AMP operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Provides administrative and clerical support to the department.

· Types reports, purchase orders, memoranda, and other documents.

· Research vendors and collect prices, specifications, and other data related to goods and services.

· Responsible for purchasing material, hardware, tooling for jobs, and services required

· Establishes and maintains recordkeeping system for purchasing department.

· Manages Purchase Orders by obtaining supply commits with Suppliers and updating PO’s as required for visibility and planning.

· Identify Work Orders for distribution to production team once material is received.

· Perform and analyze and work with many suppliers to negotiate the best cost.

· Functions include using Mie Trak ERP / MRP system, supplier selection, and approval/maintenance.

· Working closely with the Purchasing Manager, the development & negotiation with suppliers, scheduling, supplier contract management, conflict resolution and maintaining cost-effective inventory control for all materials is required.

· Works closely with engineering, quality, production control and other operations staff to ensure functional specs are met, parts are available as needed, and quality is maintained.

· Process purchase reqs, change orders, and requests for quotes to suppliers.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

· Due to ITAR requirements all applicants must be US citizens or be a “US” person.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

· Inventory control experience required.

· At least two years of purchasing experience preferred.

· Experience specific to sheet metal manufacturing is preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Prolonged periods of standing and working on a computer.

· Must be able to lift to 50 pounds at times.

PAY AND COMPENSATION:

Base Compensation: Based on experience

Range: $25 - $33 per hour
