Occupational Therapist in an acute care hospital setting. Responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing rehabilitative programs to improve daily living, vocational, and functional independence for patients with conditions such as CVA, trauma, orthopedic, medical-surgical, neurological, and ambulatory care needs. Duties include evaluating, developing treatment plans, discharge planning, adaptive equipment training, patient/family education, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Therapist also provides supervision for therapy assistants/aides and serves as a clinical instructor for assigned students.Ax
Eligibility & Requirements Requirement Details Experience 2 years acute care hospital required Travel Experience Required Charge/Leadership Required Education OT degree + NBCOT certification preferred License CA OT license in hand at time of submission (no pending) Certifications BLS required (AHA only) Charting Epic required (preferred experience) Weekend Requirement Every 3rd weekend (Sat/Sun) RTO 1 request allowed; only 1 holiday approved Orientation 16 hrs non-billable + 1–5 hrs modules (non-billable, built into orientation) Return Staff Policy Must be gone ≥1 year before returning as traveler Background Policy Any BG hits/DUIs must be disclosed before submission Locals Accepted at reduced local rate (within 50 miles) Pre-approved PTO 1 request #HCRR
