Position Summary
The Line Quality Assurance (Line QA) Technician is responsible for monitoring and verifying product quality directly on the production line. This role ensures that all in-process and finished products meet company specifications, customer requirements, and regulatory standards. The Line QA Technician performs regular inspections, documents results, and works closely with Production and Quality teams to prevent and resolve quality issues in real time.
Key Responsibilities
In-Process Quality Monitoring
• Perform routine inspections of products during production to verify quality standards are met.
• Monitor packaging, labeling, and coding for accuracy.
• Verify lot numbers, expiration dates, and weights as required.
Documentation & Reporting
• Accurately complete in-process quality check records.
• Document any non-conformances and deviations from specifications.
• Communicate quality issues promptly to Production and QA Supervisors.
Compliance & Standards
• Follow all GMP, safety, and OSHA/Cal-OSHA requirements.
• Ensure compliance with company SOPs and customer specifications.
• Support preparation for audits and regulatory inspections.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
• Work with Production to implement corrective actions.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Assist with employee training on quality standards and procedures.
Qualifications
Required:
• High school diploma or GED; additional training in Quality Assurance preferred.
• 1+ year of quality assurance or manufacturing experience.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to read and understand SOPs, batch records, and product specifications.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
Preferred:
• Experience in GMP, ISO, or FDA-regulated environments.
• Knowledge of inspection tools such as scales, calipers, and gauges.
• Familiarity with ERP or quality management systems.
Physical & Environmental Requirements
• Ability to stand for extended periods on the production floor.
• Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs.
• Exposure to manufacturing environments (PPE provided).
