Bachelor’s degree in Education, valid state Teaching license or certification, and 1+ years Teaching experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is for an Art Teacher specializing in general education for elementary and middle school students. The position is based in Orangeburg, SC, and is a contract role for the full school year.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging art instruction aligned with general education standards for elementary and middle school students.
• Develop lesson plans that foster creativity, critical thinking, and skill development in visual arts.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with school staff to support student growth and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Participate in school events and contribute to extracurricular art activities as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid South Carolina General Education Art Teaching certification or eligibility to obtain certification.
• Experience teaching art at the elementary and/or middle school level preferred.
• Strong knowledge of art techniques, materials, and art history.
• Ability to create an inclusive and motivating classroom atmosphere.
• Excellent munication and organizational skills.
