Job Description
Must have completed Behavior Specialist / ABA Therapy training and have a minimum 1+ years Behavior Therapy experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A contract position is available for a dedicated professional to support students in a school setting located near Joliet, IL. This role focuses on delivering specialized behavioral and social work services throughout the upcoming school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and write Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP) with accurate data collection
- Collaborate closely with teachers to address and manage student behaviors
- Apply knowledge of behavior programming and implement targeted interventions
- Conduct assessments utilizing tools such as VB-MAPP, Socially Savvy, ABBLS, Vineland, Functional Analysis, and Kindergarten Readiness Assessments
- Participate actively in Individualized Education Program (IEP) and 504 plan meetings to advocate for student needs
- Deliver one-on-one and small group interventions tailored to individual student goals
- Consult with school social workers regarding Social Emotional Learning (SEL) objectives
- Coordinate with outside providers to ensure comprehensive student support
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Education or Special Education
- Possession of a Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Prior experience working within school environments greatly advantageous
Position Details:
