K-5 General Education Teacher | Moundville, Alabama

Bachelor’s degree in Education, valid state Teaching license or certification, and 1+ years Teaching experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An opportunity is available for a skilled Gifted Teacher to support students in grades K-5 at an elementary school located in Moundville, AL. This position is a contract role for the uping school year (NSY) and focuses on nurturing the talents and abilities of gifted learners through tailored instruction and enrichment activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement differentiated curriculum plans that challenge and engage gifted students in grades K-5.
• Assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and administrators to create a supportive learning environment.
• Facilitate small group and individual instruction to extend critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Participate in professional development opportunities focused on gifted education best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Valid teaching certification with endorsement or experience in gifted education.
• Proven ability to design and deliver instruction for K-5 grade levels.
• Strong classroom management and munication skills.
• Passion for fostering advanced learning and creativity in young students.
• Experience working within elementary school settings is highly desirable.
