CEBS, SHRM-CP/SCP, or similar certification

Experience in manufacturing or multi-site environments

Job Description

The Senior Benefits Manager is responsible for leading the strategic design, administration, and compliance of all employee benefit programs across a multi-state, multi-union environment. This role partners closely with vendors, brokers, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and optimization of health, retirement, and wellness plans. The manager will oversee the development and execution of benefit proposals for the executive team, including financial modeling and benchmarking data. The role requires deep expertise in administering 401(k) and pension plans, as well as navigating union-specific deductions and healthcare benefits. The manager will lead open enrollment strategy, vendor negotiations, and benefit communications, while driving continuous improvement and employee satisfaction. They will also serve as the internal expert on labor law compliance, including ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, and multi-state regulations. Collaboration with payroll and HRIS teams is essential to maintain data integrity and streamline benefit processes. This position demands a high level of autonomy, strategic thinking, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
