Hospital is seeking a locums for Radiology (Mammography) (MD/DO) to cover an upcoming vacancy to retirement.


We are seeking full-time or part time coverage Tuesday through Friday from ASAP (pending credentialing( into middle of 2026 or longer.

Due to the 90-120 privileging timeline, we will prioritize submissions by KY license, Boards, Certifications, and a clean Malpractice history.


Shifts available: up to 20- but we are flexible for the right candidate

  • Would accept more than one provider if needed.
  • Privileges available: Full Privileges
  • Minimum years of Experience: None, as long as they can perform the below skills

Required Skills, Experience, Licensure:

  • MD/DO: Either accepted
  • BC Fellowship in Breast Imaging Preferred
  • Required Certifications: MQSA BLS, ACLS, DEA Certificate, KY License
  • Patient Population: 18 +
  • Setting: 100% Outpatient
  • Experience in: diagnostics, Breast fellowship, must be able to perform all breast-related procedures, screening and diagnosis.

Unit Details:

  • Provide details on Mamo rooms with diagnostic equipment per room: Three Hologic 3D Mammo units in the breast center with one unit in an outpatient center
  • Screening rooms details with diagnostic equipment per room four screenings Mammo 3D units total.
  • Patients per day seen by locums: 40 mammos screening/diagnostics/five ultrasounds/2 Breast MRI / 3 biopsies
  • Avg Unit Census: 60 procedures a day
  • Will Locums be the sole provider: yes
  • What Support staff is working with locums: 1 supervisor, 5 technologist/registration/ staff front desk staff
  • Anything else we need to know about this unit or need for the incoming provider? Needs to be able to perform screening/diagnostic mammography reads, MRI Breast reads, biopsy s via ultrasound or mammography-guided, diagnostic breast ultrasound reads, Breast guide wire placements for surgery .
  • Additional Items Of the 40 screenings/diagnostics, how many are screenings vs. diagnostics? On Monday and Friday, they schedule approximately 60-70 screenings. On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday they schedule approximately 20 diagnostics with additional screenings in the mornings and afternoons.
  • What system is utilized for mammography? For mammography, they use Hologic which is integrated with Epic and PACS.
  • What system is utilized for breast ultrasound? For ultrasound, they use GE, Epic and PACS.
  • What system is utilized for breast MRI? For MRI, they use Siemens, Epic and PACS.

SCHEDULE DETAILS:

  • Ideal schedule needed: 8-430 Tue-Fri, No night or weekend call. (would consider 4X 10-hour shifts) seeking long-term support.
  • Would consider 3 days per week for long term commitment
  • Prefer one Locum for patient continuity of care
  • Setting: Outpatient
