American Traveler is seeking a Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer for a 13-week travel contract in Temple, TX, requiring a minimum of 3 years of experience and RDMS or RVT certification.
Details\n- \n
- Hospital-based imaging/ultrasound department serving ambulatory and inpatient populations \n
- Patient population spans newborn, pediatric, young adult, adult, and geriatric age groups \n
- Experience at a Level I Trauma and Level IV NICU facility is required \n
- Schedule is 3x12-hour night shifts, Tuesday through Thursday, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM \n
- On-call may be required per department need \n
- \n
- Minimum of 3 years of ultrasound technologist experience \n
- RDMS (Abdominal) or RVT certification required \n
- BLS certification required (AHA only) \n
- Active TX license required if applicable \n
- Experience at a Level I Trauma and Level IV NICU facility required \n
- 2 professional references required for consideration \n
- Flu shot required — no exemptions accepted \n
- DOB and SSN required for consideration \n

- Performs ultrasound procedures in accordance with established exam protocols under the general supervision of a radiologist or physician \n
- Communicates with patients and families regarding procedures and assesses patient ability to tolerate exams \n
- Maintains PACS, EMR, image exchange systems, and modality worklist integrity in accordance with department workflows \n
- Uses proper sterile techniques for invasive multimodality procedures and maintains infection control standards \n
- Solid-color scrubs required; no prints \n
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local travelers accepted \n
