The Learning and Development (L&D) Trainer plays a key role in designing, delivering, evaluating, and refining training programs that support employee success and organizational growth. This role combines instructional design, facilitation, skills assessment, and performance tracking to ensure training effectiveness. The L&D Trainer is also a critical liaison between the corporate Learning & Development function, Call Center, field operations, and various departments throughout the company, ensuring seamless implementation and support of training across all levels of the company.
Duties and Responsibilities
Training Facilitation and Delivery
- Lead engaging and interactive training sessions, including Skills Boost classes, Call Center, and Leadership, via in-person, virtual, and hybrid formats.
- Execute all required pre-training and post-training responsibilities, including training communications, documentation, assessments, and follow-ups.
- Administer and evaluate Skills Checks as part of both onboarding and ongoing development.
- Provide real-time coaching and adapt delivery to meet diverse learning styles.
Content Creation and Instructional Design
- Develop and update all training materials and learning content, including:
- eLearning modules using Rise, Reach, and Articulate 360
- PowerPoint decks
- Kahoot quizzes
- Job aids and quick-reference tools
- Training videos and visual guides
- Assignment instructions and knowledge check tools
- Process guides
- Use instructional design models such as ADDIE to ensure all content is accessible, impactful, and aligned with learning goals.
- Manage and publish content through the LMS to ensure efficient delivery.
Skills Assessment, Metrics & Reporting
- Conduct and track post-class Skills Check results, compile data by Department, Region, District, and Employee.
- Maintain monthly training performance metrics and dashboards.
- Identify gaps and trends from results; recommend targeted actions.
- Follow up with learners and supervisors for incomplete assessments or low scores.
- Confirm training completion only once all forms, assessments, and modules are finalized.
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure timely collection of all Training Acknowledgement (TA) forms.
- Monitor and verify completion of required e-Learning modules.
- Maintain accurate records of all training activities, skill checks, acknowledgments, and completions.
SME Support & Cross-functional Collaboration
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on all SROA platforms and processes.
- Act as a liaison between L&D, corporate, and field teams to support alignment and successful rollout of initiatives.
- Provide ongoing support via email, chat, and virtual assistance to learners and managers.
Project Support & Administrative Tasks
- Participate in special projects related to learning, operations, and process improvement.
- Complete internal e-learning modules and stay current with company content and platform updates.
- Research industry trends and recommend best practices to improve learning outcomes.
- Attend and contribute to regular team meetings, leadership sessions, and company briefings.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in learning and development, training facilitation, or instructional design.
- Proficiency in instructional design, adult learning theory, and LMS usage.
- Familiarity with eLearning tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Reach 360, Rise 360), Microsoft Office Suite, and collaboration platforms (e.g., Teams, Zoom).
- Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- Analytical skills to evaluate learner performance and adjust training strategies accordingly.
- Experience working in a field-based or multi-location service environment is preferred.
