CNC Mill Set Up Machinist

We are seeking an experienced CNC Milling Machinist to join our team. This role involves operating advanced CNC machines (3-axis, 5-axis, etc.) to produce complex, high-precision parts using a variety of machining methods including cutting, drilling, milling, boring, and reaming. This is a 3rd shift position (10:00 PM – 6:30 AM) with training on 1st shift for 30–60 days.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, routing sheets, and technical data.
• Set up and operate CNC machines, including tooling, programming, and adjustments.
• Utilize CAD/CAM software to program machines and document for ISO compliance.
• Perform inspections using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and optical comparators.
• Troubleshoot and make minor adjustments to ensure product accuracy.
• Design and fabricate fixtures as needed.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• 5–7 years of CNC machining experience (3-axis, 5-axis).
• Strong setup and job shop experience.
• Proficiency with FANUC, HAAS, or OKUMA controls.
• Ability to read complex blueprints and use precision measuring equipment.

Preferred Skills:

• CAD/CAM programming experience.
• Horizontal/Vertical machining center experience.
• Ability to estimate machining times and costs.
