Job Description
1st Choice is seeking a Development Coordinator (also known as a Donor Services Coordinator or Non-Profit Specialist) to join our client’s growing team. This is a temp-to-hire role with the objective of permanent placement after 8 successful weeks. The right candidate will have 3+ years of donor services or nonprofit experience, with strong skills in coordinating payments, processing donations, and updating gifts in Raiser’s Edge or a similar donor management system.
You’ll work alongside two other team members in a collaborative environment where accuracy, compliance, and donor stewardship are critical.
Responsibilities
Accurately process and update donor gifts and contributions using Raiser’s Edge or comparable donor database.
Ensure compliance with nonprofit regulations and internal policies for handling donations.
Support acknowledgment letters, gift receipts, and donor stewardship activities.
Coordinate and track donation/payment schedules and ensure timely updates.
Collaborate closely with team members to maintain high levels of accuracy and donor satisfaction.
Assist with additional development and donor services projects as assigned.
Requirements
3+ years of experience in donor services, nonprofit operations, or gift processing.
Strong knowledge of nonprofit fundraising rules and donation processing protocols.
Hands-on experience with Raiser’s Edge or other donor management systems.
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy in data entry.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to thrive in a team environment and maintain strong attendance/performance.
Candidates with healthcare experience will be considered, but nonprofit/donor services background is highly preferred.
