Get to Know Your Team:  

• UT Health Athens is a 127-bed facility, including a 24-hour ED, designated as a Level IV trauma center and Level IV stroke center; advanced diagnostic technology; 10-bed ICU; maternity unit radiation therapy center; and a stand-alone ED in Gun Barrel City.

• The pharmacy technician I, under the supervision of a pharmacist, will assist in the technical, and non-clinical aspects of preparing medications for dispensing and assist in pharmacy operations.
• Has the ability to participate as a member of a team with reliability and punctuality.
• Does related work, as required.

Job Requirements:

• High School graduate or GED.
• Active Registered Pharmacy Technician in good standing with the Board of Pharmacy, if required by state of employment.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• 1 year previous hospital pharmacy technician experience.
• National Certification (CPhT) (may be required by the state of employment).
• Current BLS.
