Job Description
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist opportunity is available in an elementary school setting focused on supporting preschool students. This contract position spans a full semester and is based in Carmel, Indiana. The role involves working Monday through Friday from 8:45 AM to 4:15 PM, providing comprehensive speech and language services to a caseload of approximately 60 preschool-aged children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments to identify communication disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to preschool students.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and student evaluations.
- Participate in team meetings and provide recommendations for student accommodations.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist certification for school settings.
- Experience working with preschool-aged children, preferably in an educational environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with young students and their families.
- Ability to manage a caseload of around 60 students efficiently.
- Knowledge of evidence-based speech and language intervention strategies.
