Job Description
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Yazoo City, MS, supporting K-12 students within a public school setting. This contract position offers a 37.5-hour workweek and focuses on delivering comprehensive speech-language services to students with mild to moderate disabilities across general and special education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments and evaluations to identify student needs
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Provide direct therapy sessions tailored to each students goals
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to monitor progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school policies
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- Valid Mississippi SLP license required
- Experience in pediatric speech-language therapy in school settings
- Familiarity with teletherapy services is advantageous
- Open to Speech-Language Pathologists completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Strong skills in working with school-aged children and managing caseloads effectively
Location:
- Primary assignment in Yazoo City, MS, with consideration given to nearby locations such as Jackson, Rolling Fork, and Vicksburg
