Location: TCH Medical Center - West Tower, Legacy Tower, Pavilion for Women

Schedule: 40 hrs/week | Evening Shift 2:45 PM - 11:15 PM | Every 3rd weekend + scheduled holidays

Overview:

We are seeking a Medical Technologist to join our Blood Bank team. This role requires strong technical skills, certification, and direct experience in blood bank operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and replenish patient supply inventory across acute care, critical care, and ambulatory areas.
• Oversee Omnicell, OptiFlex, and Floor Stock Carts to ensure accurate cost and revenue reporting.
• Ensure supply charges are collected and processed in compliance with IDS policy.
• Collaborate with Nursing to review discrepancies and improve charge capture compliance.
• Provide reporting on financial, productivity, and operational performance.
• Optimize inventory levels to balance service levels and cost reduction.
• Conduct data analysis to maintain par levels and monitor usage trends.
• Lead nurse management operational meetings and provide resolutions to service issues.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology (or related healthcare/technical field).
• AMT or ASCP certification required.
• Blood bank experience is a must.
• 5+ years in logistics/distribution and 2+ years in supervisory/management preferred.
• Strong computer, analysis, and customer service skills.

Important Details:

This is a 40 hrs/week, evening shift (2:45 PM - 11:15 PM), with every 3rd weekend and scheduled holidays. Position is based at the TCH Medical Center (West Tower, Legacy Tower, Pavilion for Women). We operate across 3 blood banks, and all technologists rotate through each location. Placement is determined based on candidate experience. Bachelor's Degree, AMT/ASCP certification, and blood bank experience are required.
