Thenbsp;bFire Alarm Installation Technician/bnbsp;will work collaboratively with team members to ensure the accurate and efficient installation of fire alarm equipment./divdivbr/divdivbIn this role you will:/b/divdivbr/divdiv· Install and mount fire alarm system components, including control panels, detectors, notification devices, and wiring, following manufacturer guidelines, NFPA amp; NEC code requirements and design plans./divdiv· Route and connect wiring and conduit to establish proper connections between system components./divdiv· Test newly installed fire alarm systems amp; conduct final inspections with AHJ/Fire Department to verify their functionality and adherence to safety standards./divdiv· Collaborate with project managers and other technicians to ensure accurate interpretation and implementation of installation plans./divdiv· Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the installation process./divdiv· Provide instructions to clients or end-users on the operation of newly installed fire alarm systems./divdiv· Keep accurate records of materials used, time spent, and work completed during installations./divdiv· Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and codes related to fire alarm system installations./divdiv· Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a secure working environment./divdivbr/divdivbRequirements/b:/divdivbr/divdiv· Two or more years of experience in fire alarm system installation or a related field./divdiv· High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in fire alarm systems or electrical installations is desirable./divdiv· Relevant programming amp; installation certification(s) or licenses related to fire alarm system integration preferred./divdiv· Solid understanding of electrical circuits, wiring, and fire alarm system components./divdiv· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and diagrams./divdiv· Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills./divdiv· Effective communication and teamwork abilities./divdiv· Physical ability to lift and carry equipment and tools as required./divdiv· Valid state issued driver's license with acceptable driving record./divdiv- Current Fire Life Safety Blue Card /divdivbr/divdivThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work of this job and not an exhaustive list of all the responsibilities, duties and skills required. The Fire Alarm Installation Technician will be responsible for the installation, programming, wiring, and testing of fire alarm systems in various settings, including commercial and residential properties. The Fire Alarm Installation Technician will work collaboratively with team members to ensure the accurate and efficient installation of fire alarm equipment.
In this role you will:
· Install and mount fire alarm system components, including control panels, detectors, notification devices, and wiring, following manufacturer guidelines, NFPA NEC code requirements and design plans.
· Route and connect wiring and conduit to establish proper connections between system components.
· Test newly installed fire alarm systems conduct final inspections with AHJ/Fire Department to verify their functionality and adherence to safety standards.
· Collaborate with project managers and other technicians to ensure accurate interpretation and implementation of installation plans.
· Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the installation process.
· Provide instructions to clients or end-users on the operation of newly installed fire alarm systems.
· Keep accurate records of materials used, time spent, and work completed during installations.
· Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and codes related to fire alarm system installations.
· Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a secure working environment.
Requirements:
· Two or more years of experience in fire alarm system installation or a related field.
· High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in fire alarm systems or electrical installations is desirable.
· Relevant programming installation certification(s) or licenses related to fire alarm system integration preferred.
· Solid understanding of electrical circuits, wiring, and fire alarm system components.
· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and diagrams.
· Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
· Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
· Physical ability to lift and carry equipment and tools as required.
· Valid state issued driver's license with acceptable driving record.
