This role is vital in promoting resident safety, dignity, and quality of life through compassionate and attentive care./p h3strongKey Responsibilities:/strong/h3 ul li pstrongResident Care:/strong/p ul liAssist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and oral hygiene./li liHelp residents with mobility, including turning, positioning, transferring, and ambulating using assistive devices as needed./li liFeed residents or assist with meals, ensuring proper nutrition and hydration, and monitor food and fluid intake./li liMonitor and report changes in residentsrsquo; physical, emotional, or behavioral conditions to the nursing staff./li /ul /li li pstrongVital Signs and Monitoring:/strong/p ul liMeasure and record residents#39; vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration, as directed by nursing staff./li liAssist with monitoring residentsrsquo; skin conditions, reporting any signs of skin breakdown or pressure sores./li liAssist with weight checks, intake and output monitoring, and other health-related measurements./li /ul /li li pstrongDocumentation:/strong/p ul liAccurately document care provided and residents#39; responses to care in the facilityrsquo;s electronic health record (EHR) or paper charts./li liMaintain records of residents#39; food and fluid intake, toileting habits, and other observations as required./li liReport any concerns or incidents to the supervising nurse and complete required documentation./li /ul /li li pstrongResident Safety and Comfort:/strong/p ul liEnsure residentsrsquo; safety by adhering to facility protocols and infection control guidelines./li liAssist in maintaining a clean, organized, and comfortable living environment for residents./li liPractice proper hand hygiene, use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required, and follow all safety procedures./li /ul /li li pstrongEmotional Support and Resident Interaction:/strong/p ul liProvide compassionate care and emotional support to residents, engaging in conversation and offering comfort as needed./li liRespect residents#39; dignity, privacy, and personal preferences, and promote their independence wherever possible./li liAssist residents with social and recreational activities, encouraging participation to enhance their quality of life./li /ul /li li pstrongTeam Collaboration:/strong/p ul liWork collaboratively with nursing staff, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for residents./li liParticipate in care plan meetings and contribute to the development of individualized care plans./li liAssist with transportation of residents to appointments, therapy sessions, or activities within the facility as needed./li /ul /li /ul h4Qualifications/h4brul listrongEducation:/strong High school diploma or equivalent required./li listrongCertification:/strong Current and active State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification./li listrongExperience:/strong Previous experience in a healthcare, long-term care, or assisted living setting is preferred but not required.
