Maintains competency of tasks in which the PCA has been trained. Completes assigned tasks within required timeframe. Seeks clarification from the nurse when in doubt about how to proceed.brMaintains a safe environment. Reports safety hazards to appropriate personnel. Completes safety event report as necessary. Complies with Infection Control policies. Demonstrates knowledge of safety/emergency policies and procedures and appropriately corrects any identified hazards.brCommunicates effectively with others. Shows respect to patients, families and co-workers. Reports patient related information in a timely manner. Reports problems in completing assignment/tasks in a timely manner to the appropriate person. Documents observations and tasks performed.
