This position is fornbsp;5.75 hours per day, 180 days (9 months) per year, is paid according to Lane a href="https://www.wsd.net/documents/human-resources/salary-schedules/679105" target="_blank"4(B) of the Paraprofessionals Salary Schedule/a, and receives a href="https://www.urs.org/Members/Tier2" target="_blank"retirement benefits/a.nbsp;strongThis position starts the upcoming 2025-2026 school year (note start date)./strong/p pnbsp;/p pApplicants may apply on a href="wsd.schoolspring.com" target="_blank"wsd.schoolspring.com/a.nbsp;Files will be reviewed before interviews are scheduled./p pnbsp;/p pstrongTHIS POSITION WILL REMAIN OPEN UNTIL FILLED, AFTER A MINIMUM OF 5 WORKING DAYS/strong/p pnbsp;/p pJob Overview:nbsp;Work under the direction of a behavior specialist to intervene with students with challenging behavior./p pnbsp;/p pPrimary duties include, but are not limited to, engaging in the following activities with support and direction:/p ul liUtilize safe and appropriate procedures when managing students with challenging behavior/li liInterpret and implement written behavior plans,/li liEngage in intensive teaching activities such as Discrete Trial Teaching (DTT), as well as naturalistic teaching with the appropriate use of reinforcement strategies (desired items/actions, attention, or removal of demands/aversive situations) to increase the frequency or duration of safe and appropriate replacement behaviors and to build a repertoire of communication, social interaction, and problem solving skills/li liUtilize and model the implementation of positive behavior supports with students/li liUtilizes, models, and fades safe and appropriate prompting procedures to promote both successful and independent responding/li liImplements data collection systems, accurately collect and summarize data, including: A-B-C, count, frequency, duration, latency, inter-response time, event, and interval based recording/li liModel and train school staff on the implementation of specific interventions and procedures to address problem behavior/li liCollaborates with school team members to provide instruction and support effectively, and without disruption to the environment or other individuals in the environment/li liRegular work attendance is critical/li liMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds/li liMust be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, bending, standing, and sitting in student-size chairs) for extended periods of time/li liMust be able to move from sitting on floor to standing position repeatedly/li liMust be able to utilize quick body movements to maintain safety and implement student behavior plans/li liMust be able to provide own transportation to various school settings with reimbursement provided as applicable/li /ul pJob Requirements and Minimum Qualifications/p ul li style="font-weight: 400;"span style="font-weight: 400;"High school diploma or equivalentnbsp;preferred/span/li li style="font-weight: 400;"span style="font-weight: 400;"Previous relatednbsp;experience preferred/span/li /ul pstrongWEBER SCHOOL DISTRICT IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY (EEO) EMPLOYER/strong/p
