divpbr/pp id="isPasted"strongSTATEMENT OF THE JOB:/strong/ppUnder the direct management of the Wellness Clinical Manager, the Wellness Clinical Intern role is responsible for the assessment and therapeutic services of students and families engaging in our Wellness Program./ppstrongRESPONSIBILITIES:/strong/ppbull; Complete assessments (including the development of goals and treatment plans) and community service referrals under the direct supervision of the Wellness Clinical Manager./ppbull; Manage caseload by providing individual therapy, family support, and collateral/case management services in accordance with the clientrsquo;s authorization of services, under the direct supervision of the Wellness Clinical Manager./ppbull; Provide client crisis response and interventions within the Wellness Center./ppbull; Work collaboratively with the Wellness Advocate for referrals to appropriate community supports. This can include referrals to higher levels of care or community resources./ppbull; Work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary and inter-agency team, coordinating with educational providers, social service agencies, healthcare providers, other behavioral health providers, and any other needed services./ppbull; Document services provided and contract measurement data in Summitviewrsquo;s Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems./ppbull; Create and facilitate group therapy in the Wellness Center./ppbull; Other tasks as assigned./ppJOB EXPECTATIONS:/ppbull; Attends scheduled in-service training programs./ppbull; Attends team meetings./ppbull; Completes assigned program operational tasks in accordance with supervisory directives./ppbull; Displays sensitivity to the service populationrsquo;s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics./ppbull; Adheres to all policies and procedures including, but not limited to, confidentiality and appropriate boundaries with clients./ppbull; Demonstrates effective oral and written communication skills./ppbull; Works cooperatively with others in a team-oriented manner./ppbull; Must participate in Performance Quality Improvement and Risk Prevention./ppbull; Provides and practices trauma-informed care services and methods; actively uses empathy and understanding in treatment of clients./ppbr/ppstrongESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:/strong/ppbull; Must possess a valid, unrestricted California Driver#39;s License; personal automobile liability insurance; and a driving record acceptable to Summitview#39;s insurance carrier./ppbull; Must be willing to complete a health screening physical examination; and must have the unrestricted capacity to perform the duties of the job as defined./ppbull; Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 including be current with all necessary boosters./ppbull; Must be willing to complete a personal background investigation conducted by the State of California./ppbull; Must attend in-house first aid and CPR training within 30 days following employment (if not currently certified)./ppbull; Must have and be able to demonstrate basic knowledge of the English language in both oral and written forms./ppstrongPHYSICAL DEMANDS:/strong/ppThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job./ppReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of their job./ppWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required:/ppbull; Light lifting, up to 25 lbs./ppbull; To talk or hear./ppbull; Ability to walk, sit, stand, kneel and/or bend./ppstrongQUALIFICATIONS:/strong/ppbull; 1-2 years in a Masterrsquo;s counseling or social work program./ppbull; Completed coursework in assessment and child development preferred./ppbull; Completed coursework in child, adolescent, and family therapy preferred./ppstrongOTHER:/strong/ppbull; Employment is at-will./ppbull; This position is an hourly, full-time (or part-time), non-exempt position./ppo Required internship hours are unpaid with additional hours paid./ppbull; Standard internship hours fall between Monday-Friday 8am ndash; 4:30pm, with a 30-minute lunch break./ppbull; This position follows standard California overtime, break, and lunch period rules./ppbr/p/div
