CNC Lathe Machinist - Now Hiring

Primary responsibility is to set up new parts and assist others with repeat parts for multi-axis CNC Lathes and/or Swiss CNC lathes.

• Assist Programmers with new parts using MasterCam programs and setting up preliminary runs to verify accuracy, then hands off to operators and retrieves feedback for process improvements and documentation.
• Set up various multi-axis lathes for repeat blanket orders using electronically filed programs, set-up/process sheets, tooling sheets and routers.
• Understanding and experience in lights out machining.
• Tracks proper setup requirements, sequence of operations and dimensions of finished product while maintaining the required production levels.
• Maintains work area in a neat and orderly manner. Observes safety rules and company policies and holds assigned employees accountable to them.
• Mentors other machinists and performs other duties as assigned in a spirit of teamwork and cooperation.
• Outside Training on new equipment or software will be offered and encouraged.

REQUIREMENTS:

• At least 8 years machining experience with 4 years of multi-axis machining.
• Ability to understand prints and engineering drawings with knowledge of basic algebra, geometry/trigonometry concepts along with an understanding of geometric tolerancing.
• Strong safety, quality, and teamwork orientation with track record of dependability.
• Experience with or willingness to learn MasterCam or Solidworks software.
