Repair Mechanic

Terramac is looking for a Repair Mechanic at our St. Louis, MO location. The Repair Mechanic identifies and performs repairs on Terramac units coming off of the Production floor to support machine Quality.

What You’ll Do:

· Identify and perform necessary repairs on machines. This can include: diagnosing engine codes, identifying electrical issues, locating and repairing hydraulics issues, fabricating parts, minor paint touch-up, etc.

· Communicate issues with proper departments.

· Serve as a cross-functional partner with Engineering and Production teams to aid in reducing defects.

· Ensure Quality processes are being followed.

· Support root-cause analysis investigations and process improvements.

· Maintain detailed records of product defects or issues.

What You’ll Need:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required), relevant technical certification strongly preferred.
• Five years of relevant experience with hand tools and hydraulic and electrical testing equipment.
• Ability to read engine codes and diagnose complex systems issues.

· Ability to communicate issues and teach assembly line personnel and inspectors proper methods and techniques.

· Ability to read blueprints and schematics to investigate and perform necessary repairs to meet specifications.

· Ability to be self-managed to perform repairs and daily tasks.

· High level of attention to detail when it comes to repairing and inspecting machines.

· Ability to communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing.

· Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize work requirements.

· Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

· Result-driven positive attitude.

· Strong ethical conduct and high degree of confidentiality.

What Helps:

• Experience with part fabrication preferred.
