Master’s degree in School Counseling, Counseling or a related field, active School Counselor license and 1+ years School Counselor experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A dedicated Counselor is needed to support students in a K-12 school setting in Craigsville, WV. This contract position spans the current school year (CSY) and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in students academic, social, and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling to K-12 students to address academic, social, and emotional challenges
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop intervention plans and support strategies
• Conduct assessments and maintain accurate documentation of student progress and counseling services
• Facilitate crisis intervention and conflict resolution as needed
• Promote a positive and inclusive school environment

Qualifications:

• Valid counseling credentials and relevant licensure or certification
• Experience working with K-12 students in a school setting
• Strong munication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within an educational team
• Knowledge of counseling techniques, child development, and school policies
