Job Title: Summer 2026 Logistics Optimization Intern Summary:As a Logistics Optimization Intern, you will support key initiatives that enhance supply chain efficiency through systems integration, cost analysis, and process improvement. You will work hands-on with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platforms, analyze fleet performance data, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop scalable logistics solutions. This internship offers a dynamic opportunity to apply analytical skills and contribute to impactful projects in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Include: + WMS & ERP Integration Support: + Assist in mapping and documenting current workflows between WMS and ERP systems. + Collaborate with IT and operations teams to identify integration gaps and propose solutions. + Participate in testing and validation of system enhancements or new integrations. + Fleet Cost Optimization: + Analyze transportation and fleet data to identify cost-saving opportunities. + Support the development of models to evaluate carrier performance, route efficiency, and fuel usage. + Assist in implementing initiatives to reduce logistics spend while maintaining service levels. + Process Development & Implementation: + Document existing logistics processes and identify areas for improvement. + Support the design and rollout of standardized operating procedures (SOPs). + Monitor pilot implementations and gather feedback for continuous improvement. + Cross-Functional Collaboration: + Work closely with supply chain, operations, and finance teams to align logistics strategies with business goals. + Participate in team meetings and present findings or recommendations to stakeholders. + Reporting & Analysis: + Develop dashboards and reports to track key logistics KPIs. + Provide insights and summaries to support decision-making and strategic planning. Qualifications: The following are required for the role + Pursuing a Bachelor’s in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field. + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel + Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. ​ Program Minimum Qualifications: + The candidate must be actively enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at the time of application and for at least one semester following the conclusion of the internship. + The candidate is expected to be available 40 hours a week for a period of 10-12 weeks between the months of May and August.
