Interior Surfaces Assistant

Savannah Surfaces is looking to add an Interior Surfaces Assistant to our Team Tile!

This position is responsible for assisting the Interiors Sales team with a variety of tasks in support of the department’s sales goals. This includes administrative and clerical duties, logistics, and customer service.

Duties and responsibilities

The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

• Handle various administrative items such as look books, resolving issues with customer orders, and marketing needs
• Assist with receiving and checking in material to the warehouse, coordinating material pickup
• Add-ons for estimates, as well as invoicing for these add-ons
• Running credit card payments
• Updating spreadsheets for delivered/picked up orders, ETA’s
• Following up on missing material marked in the spreadsheet.
• Placing purchase orders.
• Help designers, clients and vendors visiting showroom or calling in by answering general questions regarding interior surfacing materials, following up on orders, etc.
• Assist the Sales Associate with the set up for meetings as well as clean up after meetings, pulling and replacing samples and providing other assistance as needed
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills required
• Previous sales experience helpful, interior surface experience a plus
• Working knowledge of design/construction process, interior/exterior, for residential and commercial projects
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic data entry and/or word processing skills
• Experience with QuickBooks a plus
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to manage priorities
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
• Ability to multi-task in a busy environment with phone calls, walk-in customers, and other tasks
• Self-motivated with good initiative and willingness to help out where needed
• Lift samples weighing up to 30 pounds
