Job Description
Location- Chelsea, MI- 100% onsite
The Emissions Certification Test Engineer is responsible for the preparation and testing of emissions certification EVAP & COP vehicles.
Requirements:
o Bachelor of Science in Engineering
o Minimum FIVE (5) years of professional experience. Experience in automotive testing (with an emphasis on emissions or fuel economy testing) is required
o Demonstrated organizational/tracking skills. This position requires tracking multiple vehicles through a complex testing process.
o Must have strong computer skills with a focus on data analysis (MS Excel and data processing/analysis tools)
o Knowledge of North American emissions regulations, testing and certification processes/procedures.
o Ability to work onsite with non-bargaining unit and bargaining unit personnel in labs and garages.
o Strong interpersonal skills required for interacting with powertrain and vehicle development teams.
