Firefighter, EMT / Paramedic

Position Summary

Kingsville Fire Department is currently accepting applications for the position of Firefighter / EMT / Paramedic. We are seeking motivated, dedicated individuals who are committed to protecting life and property through fire suppression, emergency medical services, rescue operations, and public education.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency calls for fire suppression, medical emergencies, hazardous materials incidents, and technical rescues.

• Provide high-quality patient care at the EMT or Paramedic level.

• Operate firefighting and emergency medical equipment safely and effectively.

• Participate in training drills, fire prevention inspections, and community outreach.

• Maintain equipment, facilities, and vehicles in a state of readiness.

• Complete accurate reports and documentation in a timely manner.

Minimum Qualifications

• Ohio Certified Firefighter Level I or II (Level II preferred)

• Current Ohio EMS Certification: EMT-Basic, EMT-Advanced, or Paramedic (Paramedic preferred)

• Valid Ohio Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record

• High School Diploma or GED

• Must be at least 18 years of age

• Must be able to pass a background check, physical exam, and drug screening

• CPR Certification (American Heart Association or equivalent)

Preferred Qualifications

• Ohio Firefighter Level II

• Ohio Paramedic Certification

• Experience with firefighting or EMS in a municipal or volunteer setting

• NIMS/ICS Training (100, 200, 700, 800)

• EVOC Certification (Emergency Vehicle Operator Course)
