Home Infusion Nurse [PRN]

ContinuumRx, a full service infusion pharmacy is now in search of experienced PRN home infusion nurses to care for our patients receiving IV therapy in the Huntsville, AL area.

We require 5+ years experience as a registered nurse with midline experience in an acute care setting. Previous home infusion experience is a plus.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Uses the nursing process to care for and/or educate individuals in the promotion and maintenance of health.
• Uses systematic critical-thinking to guide data gathering, assessment, nursing judgment.
• Responsible for coordinating and managing aspects of infusion nursing care as ordered by the physician.
• Delivers care in collaboration with the patient, their family and all members of the health care team.
• Submits required documentation of care within required time frame including initial assessments, visit encounters, patient education.
• Participates in interdisciplinary collaboration and communicates urgent clinical findings in a timely manner.
• Maintains annual competencies
• Maintains privacy, security and confidentiality of patient, staff and organizational data
• Fosters a non-discriminatory work environment in which care and services are delivered in a sociocultural sensitive manner.
• Ability to work well independently with minimal supervision, while demonstrating strong work ethics to meet goals and provide stellar customer service to patients.
• Availability for assisting with On-Call responsibilities, as needed. ("Taking Call/Being On-Call")
• Display neat, clean, professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
