About this job
· Teach course(s) as assigned and outlined in the approved course syllabus, ensuring coverage of all required competencies and learning outcomes.
· Utilize and maintain college-provided lab equipment and instructional tools, including those supplied by vendors such as Amatrol.
· Support student learning through timely feedback, hands-on demonstrations, and real-world application of concepts.
· Ensure safe lab practices and enforce proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and tools.
· Submit attendance records, grades, and other required documentation in a timely manner.
· Collaborate with full-time faculty and the Dean to maintain instructional quality and align with program goals.
Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree or higher in the field of study and two (2) years of successful experience in the field; OR Associate degree in the field of study and five (5) years of successful experience in the field; OR State of Michigan Mechanical Contractors License and six (6) years of successful experience OR Seven (7) years of successful experience in the field with recognized industry certification.EPA 208 certification with type 1 and 2 endorsements

Adjunct instructors are not employed directly by Jackson College with the exception of those receiving a pension from the Michigan Public School Employees Retirement System. All others are employed by EDUStaff, LLC. If you are selected to teach at Jackson College you will be required to complete EDUStaff's employment application and on-boarding processes.
A copy of Jackson College's is available on the JC Campus Safety & Security website. The security report contains crime statistics for the previous three years for all of our campus locations and the annual fire safety report, which contains statistics for any reported fires in campus housing units and fire safety systems in these buildings. Additionally, the report contains policies, available resources and information concerning personal safety, fire safety and reporting procedures for both crimes and fires.
