Assistant Professor of Computer Engineering - Now Hiring

Position Summary

Job Description:
The Computer Engineering program at York College of Pennsylvania invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor of Computer Engineering position beginning in August 2026. The successful candidate will teach a variety of undergraduate electrical and computer engineering related courses, including computer architecture, microprocessor and embedded systems, and robotics. Other responsibilities may include advising students on independent study and capstone design projects as well as teaching special topics in an area of expertise. The successful candidate will be active in curriculum and laboratory development and scholarly research.

As a teaching-focused institution, our ABET-accredited Electrical and Computer Engineering program is characterized by small class sizes, extensive engagement between students and faculty, and a focus on hands-on, project-based work. Engineering students participate in two mandatory, full semester co-op experiences as part of our experiential education program as well as a two-semester capstone design project, gaining valuable experience in pragmatic and professional engineering skills.

Experience and Education Required

Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Computer or Electrical Engineering or a closely related field. Candidates are expected to demonstrate the potential for outstanding teaching, advising, and scholarly activity. Candidates with teaching experience, research interest in embedded systems, robotics, machine learning or artificial intelligence, and industry experience are preferred.
