Department Information

UNG's Theatre Department is one of two institutions, along with Brenau University, comprising the Gainesville Theatre Alliance, a one-of-a-kind collaboration between two North Georgia institutions of higher education.

Job Summary

The Theatre Department at the University of North Georgia invites applications for a Part-Time Faculty of Theatre. The position's primary responsibilities will be to teach dance classes starting Fall Semester of 2025. UNG Theatre is expanding the Musical Theatre training on ground within the BFA in Theatre Arts, so is looking for multiple part-time dance instructors to cover genres that include Musical Theatre Dance, Ballet, Tap, Jazz, and Ballroom.

Responsibilities
  • Teach dance classes for Musical Theatre students that can include genres such as: Musical Theatre Dance, Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Ballroom, and any others that candidates may like to offer.
Required Qualifications
  • MFA in Theatre Arts is required.
  • PhD in Theatre Arts or the equivalent in significant professional/studio experience at the regional and/or national level may be considered.
