Neurology Physician - Now Hiring

A healthcare system in New Jersey is currently seeking a Board-Certified Neurologist to provide inpatient coverage across two regional medical centers. This locums opportunity offers flexible scheduling with minimal call, making it an excellent fit for physicians seeking consistent block work.

About the Opportunity:

• Schedule: 14 days per month, worked in 1-week blocks
• Shift Length: 8-hour shifts with limited night call (tele-neurology covers emergent cases)
• Setting: Inpatient only
• Patient Load: Average of 4-5 new patients + 6 follow-ups per day
• Procedures: Lumbar punctures preferred; EEG interpretation not required (remote support available)

Responsibilities:

• Managing inpatient neurology consults and follow-ups
• Providing care for 10-12 patients daily
• Performing bedside lumbar punctures as needed
• Partnering with tele-neurology for emergent stroke/status cases
• Delivering high-quality patient care in a hospital-based environment

Qualifications:

• MD or DO degree
• Board Certified in Neurology
• Active NJ medical license (or eligibility prior to start)
• NPI, CDS, and DEA required
• Ability to work independently in a hospital setting
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
