Ideal Candidate Criteria: Experience as a Purchasing Analyst in supporting procurement operations by identifying cost savings by analyzing purchasing data, monitoring supplier inventory, and identifying cost savings opportunities and process improvements. '
Job Duties: This role is essential to ensuring the timely and cost-effective sourcing of food products, packaging, and supplies that support the company’s distribution operations.
- Analyze trends, supplier performance, and pricing data to identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.
- Assist supply chain manager with demand forecasting, inventory planning, and supplier negotiations.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, information sheets, and finalized purchase orders within the company’s ERP/procurement system.
- Support sourcing initiatives by researching market trends, identifying potential suppliers, and preparing bid analyses.
- Monitor supplier compliance with quality, food safety, and service-level standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (operations, logistics, finance, quality assurance, and sales) to ensure product availability
- Generate and collaborate with the supply chain manager weekly and monthly procurement reports to track internal KPIs and supplier performance metrics.
- Assist in the development and standardization of procurement processes and best practices.
- Maintain communication between departments on issues and solutions.
- Create relationships with suppliers and vendors and maintain solid communication within them.

Skills Needed: Basic speaking, reading and writing in English for paperwork and computer training purposes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 1–3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement analytics, or supply chain (experience in food distribution or food service a plus).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, and data visualization tools.
- Knowledge of procurement principles, contract management, and supplier performance evaluation.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills, written and verbal; advanced MS office suite skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Detail-oriented with strong data analysis capabilities.
- Collaborative team player with effective interpersonal skills.
- Results-driven with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Must be able to operate personal vehicle with a clean driving record.
