Job Description
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to support K-12 students in Portales, NM, for the current school year. This contract position offers the opportunity to deliver essential speech and language services, helping students achieve their communication goals in an educational setting.
Responsibilities include evaluating, planning, and implementing speech-language therapy programs tailored to students individual needs. The SLP will collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress and comply with applicable educational and professional standards. Maintaining accurate documentation and participating in team meetings are also key aspects of the role.
Qualifications and experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license with Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC)
- Certification or eligibility for School SLP credential
- Experience working with students across the K-12 age range
- Ability to conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide direct therapy
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach
